"Giant Bird of Paradise," by Brenda Geneau
I have lived in Santa Barbara since 1954 where I attended local schools.
After raising my family and retiring from our Optical business I decided to
take art classes and fulfill my longtime desire to paint. I studied under
many talented teachers, took workshops and decided water color was the
perfect medium for painting the beauty of color and light I had observed in
nature. Living in Santa Barbara and world travel has given me endless
subjects of beauty to share. I am a member of Santa Barbara Art
Association, Scape, Goleta Valley Art Association, and Los Padres
Watercolor Society, and have won several
awards including recognition for my 911 picture "Lest we Forget" that
traveled around the world with the "Missing Exhibit".
