After a 10 year career in costume design Marjorie has focused her creativity on oil painting. She particularly enjoys painting “en plein air” at various locations in the Santa Barbara county area. When that is not possible she enjoys painting in her home studio. She especially enjoys the rich artistic environment the southern California community offers. She has studied with notable and respected artist Michael Drury, original Oak Group member. She has also taken advantage of art workshops with such artists as Meredith Brooks Abbott, Whitney Abbott, Thomas Van Stein, Ted Goerschner and Anita Hampton.
Marjorie is a member of Gallery Los Olivos, Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment (SCAPE), Santa Barbara Art Association, Oil Painters of America, and Montecito Artists Group (MAG).
