I achieved my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1972 from the University of California at Los Angeles. Currently I am a graduate student in Fine Arts - Abstract/Realism a the Academy of Art University in San Francisco working towards my MFA. Throughout these many years I have worked with notable artists that helped mentor my technical skills in portraiture painting and product application conceptual goals. I have been painting and sculpting throughout these years and very fortunate to have received positive recognition along with financial success. My work is collected worldwide and commissioned on a regular basis. My paintings and glass are exhibited at many fine art galleries and I am continually seeking further representation. I work figurative and abstract, flat and sculptural, paintings and glass. What media do I like best? There is no answer. Picasso worked with ceramics and weavings, Matisse loved collage. I enjoy all media and continue to explore new media. Glass brings out my whimsical side. It has also opened up a world of molten color that has affected my painting. Besides my sculptures, paintings and glass, I have designed and had fabricated many steel sculptures. Recently I have been intrigued with fiber-arts and have taken up knitting to make soft sculptures - in the form of purses. I combine the fibers ( which are boiled ) with fused glass. To the touch, the contrast is between warm and cool. If asked, I am a painter.
